Okay, so…after touring two countries, driving over 12,000 kilometers, working with 3 drummers, and playing 50 shows in 2007, we’re taking a little break!! It was a good year, and we learned a lot as a band. Our sound is refined (or should be) from all of this…and i think touring is definitely something every band should do at least once. it’s amazing how fast you advance as friends and musicians. that being said, we went into our studio a week after we got home to record 4 tracks for 2 upcoming split 7 inches. we figured what better time to record then now. all new tracks, and we recorded them pretty much live off the floor. it sounds raw, like a live recording. that’s the way we like it anyways.
We’re also going to have another contest on myspace/facebook. we’ll give away records, shirts and CDs. We gotta move some of this out before the new record comes out in april! hopefully people will take our free stuff…haha.
anyway, i hope to post more often in the new year as well…we’ll see!! the winter will trap us inside for a good couple months which means i’ll definitely have the time to post…
cheers.

Hey everyone…so we’ve had two shows cancel on us the past few days. The one in Corpus Christi and the one in Houston. It’s pretty disappointing…we were really looking forward to heading that far south, and driving along the coast.
We just went to Austin, and have been here for a couple of days. We get back to playing tomorrow night and have only a couple of days off until were back in Ottawa.
Everywhere we go, we end up talking a lot about politics and the election and all that. I guess people are interested in our view on the whole thing. We actually got interviewed today outside of an Obama rally about what it was like being in the states during this time….he said he would post it on youtube sometime soon. Anyways, we just wanted to post a few cool pictures we took along the way….see ya’ll soon!

Hi friends! So we’ve been crazy busy since NYC, and haven’t had a chance to post anything since then.
Right now were at a Motel 6 in Orange, TX and have some free time. We’ve played 5 shows in a row, and need to just hang out and relax for a night. We’ve played in Richmond, Charlotte, Knoxville, Nashville and New Orleans. All were really fun even with some weak turnouts. Either way, the people here have been great and we’ve made a lot of friends already. We definitely appreciate all the hospitality they’ve offered.
And no trip to the south is complete until you shoot some kind of firearm….in this case, an AK47!!!!
So here are just a few clips of what we’ve been up to this past week. To sum them up; me dancing with dogs, ben shooting a gun and adams hardee’s cheeseburger review…enjoy!

Hey pals! So we made it across the border!!!! After a van strip search and about 45 minutes of questions, they finally let us in. We were all pretty nervous.
We met up with Adam and Brad (thanks again buddy!!) and headed down to our first show in Walingford, CT with The Arkhams. A pretty fun show with free booze all night…
Next show was last night, Saturday, in New York City with The Arkhams again….a good time as always.
As of now, were at Sean and Alicia’s place. Crashing here for a day or so before we continue heading south.:

Alright, lots of stuff. First, we got a new drummer. He’s a good friend and neighbor and happens to be a wicked drummer also…what are the odds?? His name is Phil, check his other band out here: www.myspace.com/bruceborisfamily.
Second, weve finished booking our tour….leaving October 22nd, and returning November 16th i think…sometime around then anyways. Check our myspace for dates.
We’ve recorded a demo for our 2nd album, in which were hoping to release in the spring of ’09. We’ll be posting a song from it before we leave for tour.
Same deal, we’ll be posting videos as we travel! This time, i’ll try not to lose the camera half way through the trip….but check our the vids and comment! we like to hear from our friends.
later,
sam
